When the Wind Blows & the Tides Change

When the Wind Blows & the Tides Change

The wind is blowing and the tides are shifting again. I can feel it in my bones—and instead of resisting, I’m leaning in with gratitude. Grateful to live this life, grateful to have options, and grateful to continue growing into the person I was meant to be.

Change isn’t easy. It’s uncomfortable, sometimes scary, and often messy. But if there’s one truth I’ve learned, it’s this: life is short. Too short to stay in spaces that don’t feed your soul. Too short to keep putting off the dreams that keep nudging you awake at night. So I’m choosing to do what’s good for my soul.

My soul? It’s restless. Always has been. I’ve been told I’m never still—and that’s true. But it’s not a flaw; it’s a part of who I am. As an adult with ADD, I’ve learned that keeping busy isn’t just a preference—it’s essential. If I’m not juggling 10 things, I can’t even seem to finish one. That’s how my brain flows, and instead of fighting it, I’ve started to embrace it.

Somewhere in that whirlwind, I’ve found my own rhythm—a beautiful mix of the four things I love most: Hair, Travel, Creating, and Farm Life. These aren’t just hobbies or jobs. They are lifelines. They are what keep me feeling fulfilled and fueled.

  • Attitudes Salon is where I connect with people and work with my hands.

  • Tumbleweed allows me to design, dream, and build something truly my own.

  • The Travel Byrds feeds my adventurous spirit and shows me the world through a fresh lens.

  • Little Legends Cattle Co. is where I find my peace, surrounded by my animals and the simplicity of farm life.

And what’s wild? They all flow together like river veins. Each path feeds the other, and together, they keep me in my favorite mode: learning.

I don’t know exactly where the tide is taking me next, but I’m excited to keep going. To grow, shift, and evolve with purpose. Because if I’ve learned anything, it’s this:

Never stop learning. Never stop growing. And always follow the pull of your soul.
